Imagine that you arrive in this country as a pioneer, either Native American or European.  As the sun sets, you reach the top of a mountain to see this sight.

It’s been foggy and rainy for the past two days.  I love rain.  I love the effects of fog and love photographing it.  Today, I took photos three different times.  In the morning, there was fog.

Foggy Morning

 

Toward midday, the sun started poking through the clouds.  There were many different types and colors of clouds in the sky.  Some were fluffy.  Others were flat.  Some, white; others, gray.  I knew it would rain again later in the day.

Later, the fog and rain were back.  My son and I chose to venture up on the Blue Ridge Parkway with my camera.  I came back with these photos.

While photographing Mabry Mill on the Blue Ridge Parkway, I saw some very interesting ice on the mill and the flume.  The flume is the man made water way through which diverted water flows toward the water wheel.  These are those photos.  I hope you find them as fascinating as I do.
